Airline Fees

Just in time for summer travel, airlines are tacking on fees for everything from checking a bag to having a snack. Columnist Scott McCartney talks Tess through some of aviation’s most common fees.

All the new fees remind me of what the different governments do to raise funds without claiming they are increasing taxes.  If there is going to be numerous different raises in user fees, I would like to see the user fee mentality be applied to income tax collection.  I would like to see a national sales tax instead of a national income tax.
