i really think that the media and government havent been publicizing these pictures because they might be way to graphic to the majority of the people. i personally dont have a problem with these types of pictures being shown. i really think it is neccessary for us to see these pictures, unlike of what we see in the movies or other shows. but you also have to keep in mind that there are small children who are watching this. they are going to be affected really badly when they get older. the parents also have to keep in mind that if their child watched this, the children might get some negative ideas about all the graphics that is being shown. i guess that we should keep it the way it is for now, before we endanger the lives of so many children and everyone else.

i think that pictures like this shouldn't be censored because they're real. why would we censor the truth? people need to know what's going on in our society, why certain things happen and how they're dealt with. Yet, you watch the news and everything is blurred out. people think that movies are "the real thing" but in reality, dolls don't come to life and stab our sons and daughters, yet it seems that in the 90's, chuckie (childs play) was the scariest figure around. and all along, they're afraid of this doll killing them, while they're calling someone racist names, not knowing that tomorrow that kid just might come to school with a gun. some people do things without knowing what the consequence will be like because the news only give us half of the story. we see pictures of the people involved, but never pictures of what happened. Yes, we know people get shot, but some kids don't really know the power of a gun. I don't think it's as important for adults to see pictures like that,as it is for children, because THEY are our future. it's important for them to know what's going on, and what not to do. pictures are gross, but video games aren't real. we can't rely on video games to teach our kids what sex and death really is. but we do anyway.

I see spanish words.. stuff I don't understand.

But its true. Todays movies and video games are so close to the real gore and guts of it all that there's hardly a fault in comparison, until you're the one living it.
I don't know how I'd react if I saw a crowd suddenly disperse at the sound of bullets tearing through a majority of the standing flesh. I know instinctively.. you DUCK! A lot of people believe you can compare a movie/video game to the real thing, and thats where they're wrong.
I'm not suggesting you go and figure that out, but its kind of like jumping into a really cold pool for the first time. You don't know how to swim, or breathe.. all you have are the lessons you were taught repeating in your mind, hopefully you hear them.. abide by them. If not, you drown. You basically die. At the cost of being caught dumbfounded.

I think Americans are a little sensetive on how the media potrays violence. They want to belive that everything is picture perfect and that violence wouldnt occur to them. They are careless on what happends out on the streets. Most of the time they want the media to censor images of gory bloody images. They do it for the kids they dont want children to get a bad image in their head or have horrible violent nightmares. The truth is that we all need to be aware of what occurs to the average person that is exposed to violence on the daily every day life. Mabye these pictures of what occurs in reality will help us wake up and smell the roses and take action on what really occurs in peoples lifes. The media wants people to portray life as a wonderful perfect brady bunch episode. The truth is that life isnt like that and we as Americans need to wake up and smell the roses!

i think it should be allowed in the media. it might get people to realize whats going on and actually do something, instead if just sitting there and whinning about it. of course the issue of privacy should be considered. if the family approves then go ahead, as long as WE dont know the identities of the victims.
if they fight against this, how will they justify shows and movies that show simialr images? they might say their child will become traumatized, but most children are exposed to this through TV and video games. at least this way, the media is trying to get an actual message accross instead of rotting our brains
and although this might inspire people to take action, we as a society have become desensitize. its seen in movies and TV shows, so some may not really care. sad really.

Yes, it would help Americans to see that the gang war is real. The only time we hear about it is when they kill a child or an old person, but really they are killing thousands every year. Americans need to wake up and address the problem of gangs. No, I don’t think that gangs will ever go away, but I think we can definitely weaken there power.
Even though I do think America needs to see these images I just don’t think they are ready. These damn people can’t even understand that war is necessary to our survival. There talking about stop the war and we were just bombed not too long ago or have they already forgotten. Americans are way too naive about the problems that our government faces. If we showed pictures like those some cry baby would be talking about how it gave her child nightmares and start picketing. But you know what; kids need nightmares about this stuff so they can stop living in the sheltered fairy tale worlds. This kind of media really needs to be shown but I doubt it will be. The American people need to wake up and get a real kick in the ass because there slacking big time in ALL areas.

regardless the 4th branch of the government aka the media will probably not show any type of "gory" images. to further make us ignorant to the outside world. the culture that we are being fed is to fuck the people outside the walls of the u.s fuck them they can fend for themselves. but the reality is because of country's like us, we starve them of there abundant natural resources and further belay there advancements. by making us ignorant they control more power within the states. and can do what they wish, by controlling us into believing that things lie that don't happen. and if they don't not to watch or look. by putting disclaimers.

Pictures like these are not diturbing at all since we see them all the time. yes it does make us feel bad for the injuries or deaths in real life but most times on tv or movies we see things beyond this. Movies show extremely disgusting things so i guess i can say i am not disturbed as much as i was when it first came out. The U.S should display gory pictures and news that way we are aware of the news around us. This can be very important because it informs you that this is going on in this area so you should be aware of it and avoid being out doors or things of this sort around that particular area. Awaring people of scary news can possibly reduce the amount of innocent victims that are often killed by inteferring or being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
